A new advert for the Paramount + streaming service has been released showing off a number of characters from its franchises singing the theme song to Halo on a snowy mountain top. Some of the less talented singers from the group include South Park's Eric Cartman, Butt-Head from Beavis and Butt-Head and the painting which sings the theme song in Spongebob Squarepants.
This is not only a way for Paramount to promote its American TV and Film streaming platform, but also to promote the Halo TV series which will be available from 24 March. While not much is known about the show so far, it is reportedly based on the gaming franchise and will feature Master Chief as the protagonist. Jen Taylor, the voice of Cortana, will also be reprising her role for the TV show. Though people are upset that she is no longer blue.
Excited about the new Halo series? You can check out one of the trailers down below.
Our famous hero shows up in the advert though he doesn't join in with the campfire singing. Instead he shakes his head and walks off. Other notable characters include the temple from Legends Of The Hidden Temple, a now grey-haired Johnny Knoxville from Jackass and several of the new Star Trek cast. Paramount is also proud of its sports coverage and have managed to get several members of the NFL as well as some of its sports broadcasting team to join in the melodic chant.
If you've ever wanted to see a grown up iCarly in conversation with Jim Dangle in his impressively short shorts, then Paramount has got you covered. They briefly deliver the questions and answers everyone was waiting for before Master Chief takes his leave.
It has not yet been revealed when Paramount + will be launched internationally and it is currently unavailable in the UK. However, there are rumours that we could see a launch around the time when the new Halo show comes out, as this also coincides with the release of its new Star Trek series.
