Red Dead Redemption secret confirms what happened to Jack Marston after the epilogue

What happened Jack?

For those who have played Red Dead Redemption, you may have been left wondering what happened to Jack Marston once the epilogue ended. Well, it looks like some Redditors have their theories and they're looking likely.

A user on Reddit, u/footballidiot556, has laid out what happens to Jack and it has some gobsmacked. The theory goes like this, "After killing Edgar ross, Jack travels deep into Mexico and lies low for a year or two. He then heads north again, lives outdoors for a few years, and travels to Saint Denis where he gets on a boat to England."

So far so good. It's an interesting direction for the character and it fits the narratives we see in RDR. The user carries on, "[He] settles down, gets married, has kids, becomes a famous author writing western tales." Sounds like a nice life and a great way for Jack to spend his days. However, another user, u/xXPARAYEET_GODXx, continues saying "Seems about right. You can see his books in GTAV."

Understandably, some players are stunned. They weren't aware that Jack goes onto being a writer. They are especially wowed by his books appearing in another Rockstar title. While some debate that it's not a 'canon' ending, there is a book in GTAV called Red Dead by a J. Marston. However, RDR and GTAV don't apparently take place in the same universe, so it could just be a fun easter egg.

Another theory is posited by u/mutant_mamba who went with a more grounded idea that expands on the writer path. "Jack went back home, sold the family ranch, moved to Canada for a bit and stayed with Charles and his family during the Great War, then eventually made his way to California, where Jack became a writer for the budding movie industry: lots of westerns being done during the silent era. Jack also wrote a couple of fictional Red Dead books on the side. Jack died in '53 in an automobile accident."

Of course, none of these are confirmed by Rockstar and many of the ideas are hopeful ideas that expand the Rockstar universe. This theory sits well with many, so it can be seen as the ideal outcome for Jack.
