GTA 6 release date narrowed down massively, brace yourselves

You can grab a handful of salt from the dish on your right, too, because the folks over on Reddit are discussing the potential release date for GTA VI, and you need to brace yourself for this speculation.

So, there’s this Reddit thread from OkYogurtcloset8120, where the user shows a screenshot pulled from elsewhere on the message board from a supposed Rockstar Games developer.

In it, the user says, “this [comment] was left on a thread discussing the upcoming THPS 3+4 remake and how leaks impact developers.”

In the screenshot, the supposed developer describes how the game they’re working on - “2025’s biggest release” - is actually GTA VI, by giving an account of when the game’s first trailer was leaked the night before release.

Putting two and two together, the poster of this thread then says, “In the chance that it is true, it sounds like the current dev timeline is still a 2025 release as of now.”

Yes, this might very well be an actual Rockstar Games developer, and the game could very well still be cemented into a 2025 release, but it’s all pure speculation and coping.

As one Redditor says, “LMAO, it's just someone LARPing. Nobody's putting their job at risk to post comments on Reddit.

Another user throws in their thoughts, saying, “Even if this guy does work at Rockstar, 95% of the staff there won't know the release date. That's a discussion only a few select members of the highest level of management would be part of.”

Believe them or not, until the team comes out and says otherwise, I’d say Fall 2025 is still looking good.
