Steam drops 10 new free games you can download and play now

From horror to life sims, we have you covered

Angharad Redden

It is that time again!

The time where I ignore my already-screaming wishlist and add even more games to it.

With Steam adding brand-new games to its library every day, I will not be blamed and these ten examples are just the tip of the iceberg.

So if you want to be like me then check out these titles which are free to download on PC right now.

Check out the trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio below!

Ahead of its full launch in just a few days, players can check out Metaphor: ReFantazio, the latest turn-based RPG from Atlus.

After the king’s assassination, the throne sits empty and with no heirs in sight, a decree states that the next monarch will be elected by the people.

Luckily enough, we were lucky enough to review it at GAMINGbible and you can check out the highly-positive review right here.

With Halloween fast approaching, you may want to dive into a psychological horror full to the brim with jumpscares.

Luckily, A Twisted Place will do just that.

This “unconventional and atmospheric” single player horror game will task you with exploring an eerie location all whilst hiding from entities as you battle to escape.

To Kill a God not only has an epic title but this roguelite experience includes a groundbreaking skill system that will allow players to craft their very own skill trees.

The hack-and-slash gameplay and customisable experience will reward you with an ever-evolving experience with epic battles.

Those who want a bit more of a chill experience, whilst still facing a challenge, can check out The Cold White.

This zombie survival title follows the story of two archeologists in a remote location in Alaska.

After your wife disappears under mysterious circumstances, you must race to find her in this cold white world.

Fans of Borderlands and shooters in general can try Holy Shoot, an action roguelike/FPS which sees the player embark on a journey as a member of The Sanctum.

Defeat powerful demons that represent the deadly sins, all whilst mastering abilities, weapons and skills in this action-packed shooter extravaganza.

With stunning visuals and art-style, Mandragora is a 2.5D side-scroller action-RPG with Metroidvania and Soulslike elements.

Players must slash, rage and burn their way through multiple levels as they light their Witch Lantern, enter the dark realm of Entropy and tear reality asunder.

I don’t know what any of that means but it sounds cool as hell.

Tailside/
Coffee Beans Dev

Those who want to lay down the guns and stop facing immortal beings can check out Tailside, a cosy cafe simulator where you can run your very own cafe.

This charming RPG will see you learn to brew the perfect coffee, make friends with the locals and most importantly, relax as you get used to this stress-free lifestyle.

Not only that, but you get to play as the cutest little fox.

Next up is brand-new Fuel Station Simulator: Drive & Pumping and as you can probably guess, this simulator will task you with running your very own gas station.

Situated in a desolate desert, it will be up to you to raise funds, renovate and modernise your station all whilst tending to the every need of your customers.

If you want to team up with friends, Zector 7 will be the perfect way to do so.

This multiplayer post-apocalyptic survival game will see you and friends struggle to survive in an open-world setting.

Using both modern day and sci-fi-esque tech, you will have to loot, harvest and trade for resources, gear and vehicles if you want to stand a chance against the monsters roaming the landscape.

Lurk Within Walls/
Here Be Monsters

Last but certainly not least is the delightful sounding Lurks Within Walls.

This survival horror title combines modern dungeon RPG’s exploration with fast-paced turn-based combat to deliver an adrenaline-fuelled experience.

Explore cursed environments with monsters lurking within the very walls and do what it takes to survive when all hope seems lost.
