GAMINGbible recently had the chance to catch up with actress Karen Gillan, who's starring in the newly released Sky Cinema movie Gunpowder Milkshake, which is also showing right now in selected cinemas in the UK. An all-action, very-adults-only experience, the film sees Gillan play Sam, a master assassin who finds herself wrapped up in a complicated sequence of events involving stolen money, a ransomed daughter, and a reconnection with a mother (Scarlet, played by Lena Headey) who's also pretty badass with the whole making-other-people-dead vocation.

Here, why not enjoy a trailer of the film.

Drawing comparisons to John Wick, and considered "as unreal as a video game" by The Guardian, the critical consensus on Gunpowder Milkshake is that it's a lot of fun, and not a movie to be taken all that seriously. It knows what it is, and who it's for, and has a (very bloody) ball the whole way through. And with Gillan in a starring role (and The Witcher's Freya Allan appearing as a younger Sam, too), it's going to turn the heads of those who previously saw her as Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and before that as Amy Pond in Doctor Who.

Given Gillan's superstar standing in our world of games and movies and TV, we could hardly say no to saying hello to her during the promotion of Gunpowder Milkshake. And as well as talking about her role as Sam, we also found out which huge video gaming icon she'd like to portray on the silver screen. The answer would surely surprise, if it wasn't right there in the video title.

Watch below, and enjoy!
